লোকটি মারা যাওয়ার বেশ কয়েক বছর পরে তাদের কন্যা বাবার একটি ডায়েরী পেল। সেখানে সে আবিষ্কার করলো, লঞ্চযাত্রায় যাওয়ার আগেই মায়ের দুরারোগ্য অসুখ ধরা পড়েছিলো, চরম মূহূর্তে তার বাবা তাই বাঁচার একমাত্র উপায়ের সদ্ব্যবহার করেছে।
ডায়েরীতে তার বাবা লিখেছে, “আমারও তোমার সাথে সাগরের তলে ডুবে যেতে ইচ্ছে হচ্ছিলো, কিন্তু শুধু মেয়ের কথা ভেবে তোমাকে একাই সাগর তলে চিরদিনের জন্য ছেড়ে আসতে হলো।”

লম্বা উড়ান আর ক্ষিপ্রতা।।
এরপর সে আরো ৩০ বছর জীবিত থাকে আগের মত শক্তি ও গরিমা
নিয়ে।।
ইচ্ছা,সক্রিয়তা ও কল্পনা... আমাদের দুর্বল হয়ে পড়ে ৪০ আসতেই।।।
অর্ধজীবনেই আমাদের উৎসাহ, আকাঙ্খা, শক্তি কমে যায়।
আমাদেরও আলস্য উৎপন্নকারী মানসিকতা ত্যাগ করে,অতীতের
ভারাক্রান্ত মন কে সরিয়ে ও জীবনের বিবশতা কে কাটিয়ে
ফেলতে হবে বাজের ঠোঁট,ডানা আর থাবার মত।।।
১৫০ দিন না হলেও ১মাসও যদি আমরা চেষ্টা করি তাহলে আবার
আমরা পাবো নতূন উদ্যম, অভিজ্ঞতা ও অন্তহীন শক্তি।।।
নিজেকে কখনোই হারাতে দেবেন না আর হার ও মানবেন না!!

লেখাপড়ার পাঠ প্রায় শেষ, দেশের সর্বচ্চো ডিগ্রী এখন আমার হাতে। বাংলাদেশের পাবলিক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গুলোর মধ্যে একটি ‘বেগম রোকেয়া ইউনিভার্সিটি’ থেকে সদ্য হাতে পাওয়া ‘এম বি এ’ সার্টিফিকেট সহ মোট চারটি সার্টিফিকেট শিক্ষার ঝুলিতে। অভিজ্ঞাতা বলতে প্রায় ৮/১০বছর ধরে প্রাইভেট পড়ান, বিভিন্ন কোচিং সেন্টারে ক্লাস নেওয়া আর গত  ৪ বছর ধরে বিভিন্ন কলেজে শিক্ষকতা। কম্পিউটারের উপর আছে ভালো ধারনা, সর্টকোর্স করা আছে সিভিল, মেকানিক্যাল ও পাইপ ফিটিংসের উপর। এর বাহিরে হাতের কাজ যা জানা আছে তা সার্টিফিকেট ছাড়া। লেখাপড়া আর আভিজ্ঞতার ঝুলিতে এই সম্বল। অতি আত্মবিশ্বাসের কারণে অনেক সাচ্ছন্দে হারিয়েছি কিছু মূল্যবান....... আর হারিয়েছি সময়।

এতকিছু থাকাসত্তেও মিলছেনা মনের মতো কোন কাজ। কি এমনটায় ভাবছেনতো? ভাবাটা অস্বাভাবিক কিছু নয়। আপনি যেদিন প্রথম স্কুলে গিয়েছিলেন সে দিনের কথা মনে আছে, আপনি কিন্তু ১ দিনে স্কুলে যাননি। স্কুলে যাওয়ার জন্য আগের ১টা বছর অনেক শ্রমদিতে হয়েছে আপনাকে। আর এটাতো চাকরীর বাজার।
