অবসর। অবসর এমন একটা শব্দ যা শুনলে

অবসর। অবসর এমন একটা শব্দ যা শুনলে কারো মন ঘুড়ির মত উড়তে থাকে নীল আকাশে, আর কারো মন ঢেকে যায় বিষাদের নীলে। আমার আজকের লিখার উদ্দেশ্য, কোন স্কুল বা কলেজ ছাত্রের ছুটির অবকাশ কিংবা শুক্র-শনি অফিস ছুটির আনন্দে ভাসা কোন চাকুরিজীবীকে নিয়ে নয়। আমরা ছোট বেলায় পড়ে আসছি, অবসরে আমরা কি করি। যার যা ইচ্ছে তখন লিখেছি। বাড়ির আঙ্গিনায় কারো ফুলের বাগান কারো সব্জির, কারো হাঁসমুরগি তো কারো কবুতর পালন এভাবেই লিখে গিয়েছি যে যার মত। আর একটু বড়হয়ে অবসর কথায়, সারাদিন খেলাধুলা, স্কুল আর কলেজ লিখাপড়া, প্রাইভেট, কোচিং সময় কথায় অবসরের। আরেকটু বড় হলে চাকুরি, বিয়ে, বউ-বাচ্চা, আরেকটু বড় হলে নাতি-পুতি, একাকার অবস্থা। কোথায় অবসর । ৩৬৫ দিন একটা লেয়ার মুরগী ডিম পারার পর খামারের মালিক তাকে বিক্রি করে দেয়। সে রকম সরকারও আমাদের একদিন ছেড়ে দেন। বয়স ৬০-৬২হলে সরকার এদের লেয়ার মুরগী  মনে করেন আর পাঠিয়ে দেন অবসরে। এ অবসর তাকে যেন কর্ম থেকে নয় অনেকটা জীবন থেকে দেওয়া হয়। এ অবসর তাকে আলাদা করে দেয় সমাজ, সংসার সব কিছু থেকে। দুদিন আগে যে কর্মব্যাস্তার মধ্যে দিন কাটাত তার দিন এখন আর কাটেনা।
